The difference between these two metal panel paint systems are as follows:- PVDF (Premium Polyvinylidene Fluoride) systems provide exceptional weather protection, and are designed to handle exposure to harsh weather conditions. This is a commercial-grade paint system, which maintains its appearance over long periods of time when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) and atmospheric pollutants.
- SMP (Silicon Modified Polyester) paint systems are one of the hardest paint systems on the market, making them extremely resistant to abrasions and gives them the ability to be used in a wide range of metal forming without cracking. Oftentimes, SMP paint systems are more economically priced than PVDF paint systems, making it a popular option for residential, industrial and agricultural uses.
