Garage Takeover

Sep 29

Designing with metal around your home and business can be really fun. Each day, we talk with builders, designers and homeowners looking for ways to make their spaces unique and functional.

Today we focus on the garage.  Here are a few ideas to transform your space.

Dress Up The Door

Use metal on the exterior or interior of your garage door. Available in both profiled and flat styles.

Things to consider:  Metal can add considerable weight to your door and may require upgrading springs, other hardware and your opening system.

What we recommend: Work with a pro. Measure your door and get an estimate of the additional weight the metal will add to your door system. Your installer will let you know what hardware and opening systems will be needed to accommodate the weight.

Go Maintenance Free

This homeowner needed a space for storing his camo-wrapped boat. Using Galvanized metal for the siding and the ceiling gave this space a man cave inspired look with a maintenance free finish.

Lighten Up With Color

The homeowners on this project were planning on using plywood for their interior walls but dreaded the painting process. Instead they chose our Platte River Panel.

By using White, they lightened the entire shop. They enjoy how much natural light floods the space and that it didn’t require a single paint brush.
